As of today, Canada's Sports Hall of Fame counts some 506 Honoured Members in its honour roll. From Bob Abate to Steve Yzerman, from hockey to squash, from 19th century legend to 21st century idol, the Sports Hall celebrates the achievements of the country's greatest members of the sport community. Individually, this collection of sports heroes is impressive if not overwhelming. Collectively, it is enabling and inspiring.
This honour roll also represents a never-ending biography of achievement, for while we celebrate the history of sport in Canada we also recognize the continued success of our athletes and builders of the present, individuals who will one day be inducted and remembered for their victories and successes today and tomorrow.
